  a few of you may remember my post concerning the assembly day, and how i wanted to get out of it in some way.

  this post catalogues the events after that day a day which has changed my life.

  i managed to get out of going to the assembly, using an excuse about my stomach, and the complications which follow.

  well an elder had the nerve to tell me that i 'wasnt doing enough' and that i should 'really start' by coming out on the evening service on monday night.

  'yeah, ok mate'.

  i've been lurking for some time and now its time for me to say hello.

  i want to call myself sam on here to avoid any repercussions, whatever they may be i have learnt to cover my back in this life from the experiences i now ask if i may relate.

  i was born into a black working class household in england to a mother who had remarried after splitting up with her first husband in barbados.
